Cheese bacon wrapped tater tots recipe

This appetizer is really a fun one for sports-themed parties like Super Bowl. They are easy to make and will also be rapidly devoured from your visitors!

Ingredients:

24 tater tots. partly defrosted (fifteen minutes at 70 degrees)
12 strips center-cut bacon. decline in half crosswise
24 (1/2-inch) chunks sharp cheddar cheese
24 drops Tabasco sauce
24 toothpicks

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 450 levels F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray with nonstick spray.

2. Lay a bit of bacon on the flat working surface. Convey a tater tot on the top. Utilizing a sharp knife, lightly cut a slit lower the middle of the tater tot. Wiggle a bit of cheese in to the slit. Sprinkle Tabasco sauce on the top. Wrap bacon tightly round the stuffed tater tot and secure having a toothpick. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

3. Bake fifteen minutes, or until they seem to be cooked through and also the bacon is crispy. Serve immediately.

Tips:

*Tater tots are based in the frozen section- Ore Ida means they are.
*Variations: add a bit of pickle on the top from the cheese. Roll the bacon-wrapped tater tot in brown sugar before baking to include just a little sweet flavor for this (my personal favorite method to make these)- just make certain you do not over-bake them though or even the sugar can make them burn. Or try replacing the cheddar cheese with cream cheese and a bit of pepperoncini.
*Make ahead tip: Assemble these a couple of hrs ahead, put them on the baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and bake when ready.
*Try serving them track of a spicy sour cream dip- sour cream combined with some Tabasco sauce.
