Ingredients
- 2 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, at 70 degrees
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring
- 3/4 cup Nederlander process cacao powder
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- White-colored Sanding sugar, for garnish
Directions
Inside a large bowl, add some butter and sugar and cream plus a hands mixer. Add some eggs and vanilla flavoring towards the creamed mixture and blend until combined. Inside a medium bowl, mix the cacao powder. flour, sodium bicarbonate, and salt. Gradually add some dry ingredients and continue mixing until incorporated.
Roll the dough into 2 logs which are a couple of-inches high and 1-feet lengthy. Wrap them in waxed paper and put within the refrigerator for just two hrs.
Preheat oven to 350 levels F.
Once completely chilled, slice the cookies into 1/2-inch thick models and canopy with sanding sugar. Put on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet and bake for ten minutes.
Remove to some wire rack to awesome.
