Hi Marey, I'm unclear about the way the results would come out when the awesome whip was substituted with sour cream. Because awesome whip is made from heavy cream that when beated to some peak expands and it is light, airy and fluffy- sour cream which might appear similar in texture really isn't synonymous. My prediction would be that the substitution wouldn't yield exactly the same result resulting in the filling to become dense.
By trying the subsitution, please publish an evaluation to tell us the way it switched out.

Hi Amy, are correct. The recipe requires as many as 16 ounces of cream cheese which equals two large block of cream cheese.
Absolutely amazing! I chose to make this for Thanksgiving and everybody enjoyed it (according to it being among the first Dee desserts to visit). I had been very happy to sample among the last bits of this cake. Let’s just state that I had been in paradise! I stored the final piece to myself I enjoyed every calorie.
Chose to make this as a birthday gift and loved it! I don’t possess a mixer and so i put my cookies inside a large ziploc bag and used a moving pin to smush them.
My only dislike was that it's very tough to cut with the cookie bottom having a knife or fork. Unsure ways to get for this by looking into making a softer bottom.
