1/2 cup mixed peel or citron
two tablespoons cherries, decline in half
2 eggs beaten
1/2 pint milk

GLAZE:
1/4 cup sugar
3 tablespoons water

INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 325 levels F. Warm the stout on low flame. Add browning, sugar, molasses and butter. Stir until dissolved. Sift together flour, baking powder and spices. Add chopped fruits - ensure raisins are drained - towards the mixture. Add wet ingredients to flour mixture. Bake inside a greased loaf pan for 1-to-1 hrs. Remove from oven when ready, and permit to awesome about ten minutes within the pan. Take away the bun(s) onto a wire rack and awesome completely. Glaze with sugar water. Honey and melted butter may also be used.

Cut the cooled loaf into inch thick slices. Serve with cheddar cheese slices sandwiched between two slices of bun.

Optional: Craisins really are a tasty replacement for raisins.

Jamaican Easter time Bun Recipe with Yeast

INGREDIENTS
3 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup brown sugar (tightly packed)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 Tablespoons of cinnamon
1 teaspoon aniseed (optional)
1 cup raisins
1/4 cup Mixed Peel
2 teaspoon yeast (fast rising)
1 1/4 cup milk
2 Tablespoons of butter

INSTRUCTIONS
Place all dry ingredients in bowl, mix together and hang aside. Put milk and a pair of tablespoons butter or margarine in a tiny bowl. Heat in microwave
to very warm. It ought to feel hot when tested on within wrist or (115F to 120F) having a food thermometer, if available. Pour liquid into dry ingredients and blend together. Place dough onto clean, dry and floured surface. Knead for two to five minutes dough ought to be soft. Place dough inside a greased bowl and canopy with waxed paper along with a moist tea towel and let rise until double in dimensions (about one hour). Turn dough out to the counter again and knead gently. Shape and put inside a loaf pan and let rise again for one hour. Bake in preheated 350F oven for around one hour.

Optional: Glaze with 1 teaspoon melted butter combined with 1 teaspoon sugar and go back to oven for around a few minutes. Remove from oven and switch from tin and awesome on rack.
