Very tasty beans! I prepared this inside a pressure oven. I halved the recipe and used only two glasses of water and cooked it 30 minutes on ruthless. Next, I added the sausage and cooked more to lessen the liquid. Great!
Returned from NOLA from the vacation focused on all the NO foods I really like. I ate red beans and grain in the Praline Connection (off Frenchman) 3 occasions since it was sooo good. After I came home I went through withdrawls. These taste similar to the ones I'd there. I built them into two times in a single week to kill my craving. One recommendation is by using converted grain (Uncle Ben's) for the grain portion within this recipe to help keep it authentic. Oh and that i don't add some salt, hock, or sausage before the beans have prepare not less than 1 hour. Salt can occasionally wreck havoc on the tenderness from the beans if mixed in soon. just recipe!
