Red curry beef brisket recipe

Today’s recipe was the effect of a happy accident.

I came home tired and exhausted from the 10-hour night shift coupled with a WTF shall we be held creating dinner. moment. Fortunately, I'd some grass given brisket, veggies, and Aroy-D yellow curry paste on hands to toss right into a slow oven.

I like all of the Aroy-D curry pastes I’ve attempted. Here’s a go from the Paleo-friendly component list:

I truly wished that something scrumptious could be waiting for me after i automobile up at night ‘cause sometimes my desperation dinners don’t pan out

Within this situation, the stew switched out really tasty and my hands-promptly was just ten minutes. Woo hoo!

Stick to the jump to determine the way i managed to get!

Here’s things i put together to give 8 people:

  • 3.5 lb of grass given beef brisket, decline in 1.5 " cubes
  • 2 medium sweet taters, peeled and decline in large cubes
  • 2 small onions, coarsely chopped
  • ½ pound baby carrots
  • 1 T coconut oil
  • 2 T yellow curry paste
  • 1 ½ C coconut milk
  • 2 T coconut aminos
  • 1 T Red Boat fish sauce
  • 2 T any fruit juice
  • 16 oz bag of mixed frozen vegetables
  • Number of chopped mixed herbs like cilantro, tulsi, and mint (optional)
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground pepper

Here’s the way i managed to get:

I place the onions, carrots, and yams in to the slow oven and thrown the veggies with a few pepper and salt

seasoned the brisket cubes with pepper and salt

and placed the meat on the top from the veggies.

In a tiny saucepan, I melted the coconut oil over medium heat and stirred within the curry paste. When the spices were aromatic, I put within the coconut milk and introduced it to some simmer, stirring constantly.

Next, I added the coconut aminos, fish sauce, and any fruit juice and stirred everything well to mix.

I put the sauce evenly within the meat

covered it using the lid, and hang it to prepare on low for 9-11 hrs.

Once I automobile up, I checked around the curry and adjusted the seasoning.

(If you're adding frozen vegetables, achieve this about half an hour prior to the finish from the stewing time. Sprinkle around the herbs before serving.)

The brisket was tender and well-flavored as well as the stew were built with a nice body since the sweet taters had melted in to the sauce. I’m really pleased with the outcomes since the curry was tasty AND quite simple to create. Mutually beneficial!

Note: You are able to certainly vary the meat within the recipe (e.g. boneless beef short ribs, lamb shoulder, lamb shanks, etc.) and you may add in a bag of frozen mixed veggies in the finish. If you choose to use chicken, use bone-in thighs or drumsticks and prepare on low for just 4-6 hrs.
