Freezer jam strawberry recipe with low sugar

2 1/2 cups crushed or finely chopped bananas
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Splenda
2/3 cup orange juice
a little fresh lemon juice
1 package Ball Fruit Jell No Sugar Needed Pectin
2/3 cup water

Neat and crush or chop bananas. I favor chopped, and that i come with an old-fashioned stainless bananas chopper. I've not seen anything such as this in shops, so most likely the best choice would be to crush the berries having a potato masher. Don't use a mixer!

Add sugar, Splenda, orange juice, along with a a little fresh lemon juice. Stir completely. It might appear just like a waste, however i stir not less than a complete minute. Permit this to mixture take ten minutes.

In small saucepan, whisk powder pectin into water. Provide a boil, stirring constantly, and boil while stirring for any full minute. The feel when ready is going to be much like a thick white-colored sauce.

Pour pectin right into a large bowl. Stir in strawberry mixture, and continue stirring not less than 3 minutes.

Ladle into four to five 8 oz jars. I personally use Ball jelly/jam jars and regular Bell covers. Refrigerate not less than 24 hrs. Keep one jar for fast use and freeze the remainder.

I have been tinkering with making freezer jam with little if any sugar for quite some time which recipe finally meets my objectives. This jam is the very same texture and merely slightly less sickly sweet than regular freezer jam which frequently includes a full cup of sugar for every 8 oz of finished jam. Her same very clearness of color, and constitutes a beautiful presentation. Most significant, it tastes great leaving no aftertaste.
