Blueberry muffin recipe betty crocker

My mother makes them muffins, with no particularly, and substituting 1/4 c oil for that shortening. They're my preferred muffins, ever! A genuine good compliment to soup, too.

Among the first muffins I available from Gloria Crocker's Cook book, circa 1972. Blueberry, one of several variations from core ingredients, is my personal favorite. Very fast and easy to create and bake, and incredibly tasty.

I chose to make this recipe some time back after remembering my mother while using Gloria Crocker Cook book recipe throughout my childhood. I'd forgotten that they always substituted butter for shortening. Using shortening made the worst batch of muffins I have ever sampled. I needed to throw them out. I gave it another go yesterday using butter, apples, and cinnamon. A lot better! I am pleased to have this recipe, but anything you do. avoid using shortening!
