- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dairy or buttermilk
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
- Butter and syrup, for serving
Inside a medium bowl, combine the flour, corn starch, baking powder, sodium bicarbonate, and salt mix well. Add some milk, vegetable oil. egg, sugar and vanilla and blend well. Allow the batter take half an hour.
Preheat a waffle iron. Don't use non-stick spray around the waffle iron the oil within the batter allows the waffle to produce easily. Stick to the directions in your waffle iron to prepare the waffles. Serve immediately with butter and syrup.
