After studying all of the reviews I have made the decision to alter the recipe just a little the following:
1 cup water
two tablespoons margarine
2 cups All-purpose Flour 1 cup Wheat Grains Flour
3 tablespoons BROWN Sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons yeast
1 cup Drenched raisins (I love the suggestion to soak them in RUM)
Yes they are minor changes but the majority of the reviews appear to recommend them, and i'll stick to the majority.
I am going to do this using fresh bananas instead of raisins. I can not appear to locate any breadmaker recipes that utilize fresh bananas. For recipes with raisins, I've found they mix far better if separated well and added directly after liquid ingredients. The very first time, I added them throughout the "add ingredients" beep, because the recipe indicated. But, they didn't mix through the dough and were only around the outer crust, most remaining towards the bottom from the pan.
Everyone loved this bread, I figured it made good toast too. Heeded most of the suggestions: plumped in the raisins in serious trouble, bending the cinnamon, used 2 C white-colored flour and 1 C wheat grains, and set all of the ingredients in at the same time (incl raisins) and voila. And it also does smell terrific when it is baking!
