Wholemeal bread recipe bread machine

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 egg
  • two tablespoons canola oil
  • 2 cups bread flour
  • 1 cup wheat grains flour
  • 1/2 cup oat flour
  • 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast

Directions

  1. In bread machine pan, place all ingredients so as recommended by manufacturer. Select fundamental bread setting. Choose crust color and loaf size if available. Bake based on bread machine directions (check dough after a few minutes of mixing add one to two tablespoons water or flour as needed). Yield: 1 loaf (2 pounds, 16 slices).

Editor's Note: As an alternative for 1 cup oat flour, process 1-1/4 cups quick-cooking or old-fashioned oatmeal until finely ground.
