Gordon ramsay bread pudding recipe

I haven’t stopped happening relating to this since i have managed to get. And ate the entire factor. Yes, just me, a spoon along with a smile permanently fixed on my small face when i devoured the entire scrummy lot with some cold double cream. Even so it wasn’t enough. Still it isn’t enough and that i’m awaiting my next chance to create another batch.

Gordon’s recipe uses sliced discomfort au chocolat however i don’t like chocolate with dried fruit and that i just thought about being hit with cinnamon, sugar and creaminess without nuggets of chocolate getting into my way. Never though I’d state that! Nigella comes with an amazing recipe for chocolate nick bread pudding which i goes to when ever I would like this type of factor.

I’ve adapted Gordon’s recipe a great deal what exactly follows is my version. You'll find his original in the Ultimate Cookery Course book.

Serves 4 generously (or 1, should you’re me)

  • 12 thin slices of brioche bread
  • 50g soft butter
  • 2 tablespoons of ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons of demerara sugar
  • 2 small handfuls of sultanas
  • 250ml dairy
  • 60ml double cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoons of vanilla flavoring
  1. Reduce your brioche slices into half diagonally to create triangles and generously butter one for reds of every triangular. Pile the bread right into a bowl and then leave to 1 side.
  2. Grease a cake dish (large enough to carry all of the bread tightly) and sprinkle more than one tablespoon from the demerara sugar and something tablespoon from the ground cinnamon.
  3. Next, result in the custard by whisking together the milk, cream, eggs, vanilla, one tablespoon from the sugar and a bit more cinnamon. Now pour 1 / 2 of this in to the bowl where your bread is sitting and let it take just a few minutes.
  4. To compile your pudding, lay slices from the bread using their pointy corners sticking up from the dish and sprinkle in certain sultanas along the way, pushing the bread together. When all of the bread can be used up, pour on all of those other custard mixture, ensuring it will get into all of the crevices. Sprinkle within the remaining cinnamon and latter tablespoons demerara sugar then bake within an oven set to 180°c for 35-40 minutes until set and golden. Leave to relax for a while before eating unless of course you've got a fireresistant mouth.

Bread and Butter pudding must have a crunchy sugary top and become wealthy, creamy and splendid beneath with a lot of flavour in the spice and fruit. This delivers in each and every way possible. It might not be the lovliest pudding on the planet but a few of the ugliest things could be scrumptious. Just penning this up makes me would like to get in to the kitchen and obtain me some bread and butter pudding on the run. Enjoy!
