Cornflake cake recipe cocoa powder

Cornflake cake recipe cocoa powder

old-style chocolate cornflake cakes no longer working, what shall we be held doing wrong.

my loved ones love that old school dinners style cornflake cakes created using golden syrup, butter and cacao powder but even though they taste great they never stick together regardless of how i adjust the butter to syrup ratio. i have discovered that it really works just a little better basically crush the flakes and that i always insert them in the fridge so i am baffled now in regards to what i am doing wrong
could use some instructions please

Hi. I have not attempted to ensure they are with coco powder however they always work after i just melt chocolate and blend along with the butter and also the syrup. There can be some scientific rreason why the powder does not mix using the other things. have you ever attempted googling it.

you need to melt the butter and syrup together to have it to gel correctly after which mix it in rapidly towards the flakes. Using cacao rather of melted chocolate helps too.

yes i actually do melt them together. the initial reciepe states 3 tablespoons butter to 3tablespoons of syrup to at least one tablespoon cacao however it doesnt set and so i reduced the butter plus they just stay sticky without setting. more butter and it is just cornflakes in chocolate sauce.

will need to try googling another way. 1 stated to include a tablespoon of icing sugar however that just sounded strange in my experience.

This recipe continues to be attempted and tested over 3 decades within my family!

I bring the syrup mixture towards the boil for around about a minute to ensure they are stick together better still.
You should use butter rather of marg and any kind of sugar.
