Appreciate this recipe on German Crumb Cake. Question: around the flour amount within the cake recipe, must i have simply scooped or leveled the flour? I attempted to help make the base dough this AM however it only agreed to be too soft and wouldn't form right into a ball. Possibly my eggs were too big, or there is insufficient flour? I crawled the dough into my baking pan which is rising for the reason that pan at this time :). Once I add some crumb topping, I'll arrange it to increase again. Any tips you are able to offer are appreciated.

Yup. Its just leveled flour which is a really sticky dough. The dough will gradually get together after kneading but continue being very tacky. Do not worry. I believe you're good. The softer the dough, the softer the wedding cake! We do hope you kneaded well.
