there's absolutely no requirement for dirtying another pot! I steamed the noodles for around a few minutes, then just mixed everything cold within the slow cooker (a dual batch), put it within the fridge overnight and heated it each morning for any lunch potluck. we have not eaten yet however i stole a bite and it is AMAZING. gooey, stringy, creamy perfection and never sticking with the pot whatsoever because of the butter. I added a bit of shredded gruyere using the cheddar for any little fondue-y taste, used skim milk, lite sour cream and also the stick "ICBINT for baking" (losing the caloric fight with all of that cheese, but every tiny bit helps!), i overlooked the eggs (since i didn't remember to purchase them). certainly never use bagged shredded cheese in recipes such as this - they coat it by having an anti-caking agent to avoid sticking together it prevents nice creamy melting. this really is superb though check it out!

After studying lots of reviews & with a couple common "prepare" sense here is how this switched out suberb! As the noodles were cooking (6 min), I sprayed the pot gently with Pam (just in situation, like 1 reviewer recommended), switched my 3-qt Slow Cooker on High & melted the butter (not margarine) & sharp cheese (I grated 16 oz wedge of sharp hoop cheese & reserved just a little for that top later). Wasn't completely melted when other ingredients were added, but it didn't matter- was all melted within the finish. Switched the pot to Low. Whisked the rest of the ingredients inside a separate bowl first before adding these to the pot. Within this order: 1 beaten egg, sour cream, spices (used white-colored pepper), soup, 1% milk. Added the noodles last. (compromised around the amount: a bit more compared to recipe requires, although not quite the entire box. It could be fine to if you wish to stretch it just a little farther. It had been plenty cheesy!) Was certainly prepared to eat in 1 1/2 hrs. Stirred it frequently. Sprinkled remainder of cheese on the top for last 20-30 min. The next time, I'll try 2 eggs & reduced fat sour cream. Won't ever substitute the ring cheese!

I get this to recipe constantly in my family. it's the best mac n cz so far as my loved ones is worried. I allow it to be just as the recipe states. I usaully need to triple recipe since it is gone so quick. Basically don't allow it to be for that meet up everybody is extremely disappointed. Get recipe!
