Wonderful recipe. Great sauce. I cut the entire cooking lower to five hrs to prevent getting rubby chicken. UPDATE: Love this recipe. This really is my second review. This time around I added mushrooms within the cream cheese step. Also, capped with chives and crumbled bacon when serving. Scrumptious. This can be a keeper.
This can be a excellent tasting, easy primary dish meal! I managed to get just as written. except time cooked. It really only takes about 1/2 the 7hrs to prepare and i believe had I not been here and viewed it,,it can't have switched out too. It might have burned round the edges. I needed and began early on to apply your time mentioned, but after 2 1/2 hrs, switched my crock around the "warm" setting (newer crocks have this setting,,yay) until I added the broth/cream cheese mix. I permit this to prepare on low for 45 min and offered over mashed garlic clove/tarragon taters. dh won' t eat grain :( The second best benefit was the following nite, I shredded the remaining chicken,,(I'd taken it from the sauce)added 1/2cup sour cream, a 4 oz. can of eco-friendly chilis and 4oz. velveeta cheese towards the sauce and a few garlic clove powder. I placed the shredded chicken and much more shredded cheese in corn tortillas and pour the rest of the sauce them over coupled with a pan of chicken enchiladas fit for any king. I additionally reserved 3/4 cup from the sauce and put it over 2 chili rellenos (sp)I'd made! Appears as tho I might have experienced lots of left overs, but there're only two people so we do not eat heavily,,so, this excellent crockpot chicken made 2 great different dinners. sufficient shredded chicken leftover for soft tacos tonite. 3 meals. Oh yummmm! It was super! I did not have day and so i cooked it on high about 3 1/2 hrs after which added the cream cheese mixture and cooked it the following hour on low. I re-browse the reviews immediately after I put the cream cheese mixture and saw that somebody pointed out mushrooms. And So I ran and grabbed my package of whole organic mushrooms from the fridge and merely put them on the top of all things. Man had they been good. Offered over egg noodles. It is crucial you have something similar to grain,noodles, or mashed taters to pour the gravy over. Or you'll look silly lapping up just like a dog off your plate. It's so good.
