- First heat 1 tablespoons of of oil inside a pan and roast the vermicelli / semiya inside a low flame up until the vermicelli becomes golden brown colored. Do stir continuously otherwise it might get burnt. Roasting may prevent vermicelli from sticking with one another. ( Note: Roasted vermicelli can be found in grocery shops.
