Cuisine: Pakistani Cooking: 40 mins Serving: 6 people

This form of Karahi chicken is mainly made at roadside shacks (dhaba) in Pakistan which is truly tasty!

Method

  1. In a tiny bowl add some salt, dry coriander, cumin, ground pepper, chillie flakes and garam masala dry masala mixture.
  2. Wash the chicken pieces in cold water and drain.
  1. Put the butter and oil inside a non-stick pan, when butter melts add half the chicken pieces and fry on full heat until chicken turns a golden brown, remove right into a dish, fry the 2nd 1 / 2 of the chicken and take away.
  2. Within the remaining oil and butter mixture, add ginger root and garlic clove fry for 2 minutes, adding the tomato plants, and half the dry masala mixture.
  3. Mix well and add a mug of water, prepare covered before the fluids in the mixture dry out and also the mixture is bhuned (oil separates). Keep stirring every so often so mixture doesnt stick.
  1. Add chicken and stir in yogurt, prepare on medium heat and bhun again.
  2. Add some remaining dry masala mixture (add an additional 1 teaspoon red chillie flakes and 1 teaspoon ground pepper for any hotter dish!)
  3. Add 2 tbsp . dry methi (fenugreek) and also the freshly sliced garlic clove (YES this really is unusual!).
  4. Mix well, cooked covered for five mins on really low heat, add some thinly sliced ginger root, garnish with freshly sliced eco-friendly coriander and fresh jalapenos.

Appropriate for everyone with naan or chapattis not appropriate for everyone with grain.
