Sabudana (Sago) based dishes are extremely popular in Maharashtra in the morning and through fasting occasions. It's accustomed to prepare Kichidi Sabudana upma is a straightforward yet scrumptious dish speically made during fasts - sago cooked with taters and crushed peanuts.

Ingredients

  • → cumin seeds 2 Teaspoons.
  • → oil 1 Tablespoons.
  • → salt To Taste.
  • → sugar ( optional) 1 Teaspoons.
  • → peanut powder 1/2 Cup.
  • → ONION 1 Figures.
  • → fresh lemon juice 1 Teaspoons.
  • → eco-friendly chilies 3-4 Figures.
  • → curry leaves 1 Springs.
  • → sago (tapioca) 2 Cup.
  • → coriander leaves 1 Bunch.
  • → Mustard seeds 1/2 Teaspoons.
  • → urad wash 1/2 Teaspoons.

Directions

  1. Soak sago in water for several hrs. Drain water and it aside .
  2. sometimes the sago must be rinsed in some water).In pan add oil, murstard seeds, cumin seeds, urad dal, onions salt, turmuric, chopped eco-friendly chillies, curry leaves, mix well add sago mix well and prepare for 5min adding crushed peanuts and blend well and shut it having a lid for 4min and finally top it of with lime juice, and coriander.serve hot.
