Almond milk chocolate milkshake recipe

By Ashley Adams. Dairy Free Cooking Expert

This twist around the classic chocolate shake is tasty and fun for dairy-free children and grown ups, also it's very easy to create and serve just serve it having a straw and revel in!

For thinner shakes, increase the dairy-free almond milk for thicker shakes, begin with 1 tablespoon and add some other two tablespoons until your milk shake may be the right consistency. Personally, i like mine triple-thick style, so sometimes I even add yet another tablespoon or a couple of almond butter to thicken the shake and boost the almond flavor!

Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 cups dairy-free chocolate frozen treats
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup
  • 3 T. dairy-free almond milk, for example Silk's Pure Almond or perhaps a homemade variety
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped chocolates (optional)
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds (optional)

Preparation

1. Place two large clean, dry glasses within the freezer not less than one hour to relax. (This really is optional, but serving milk shakes in chilled glasses adds a unique frosted touch for your creations.)

2. Inside a blender, combine the dairy-free chocolate frozen treats, chocolate syrup, almond milk, and almond butter, and process just until smooth. Add some finely chopped chocolates and almonds if using, and pulse only a couple of occasions before the almonds and chocolate pieces are distributed.
