Chocolates Bars” and “Almond Chocolates Bars” Due to Undeclared Milk
For Fast RELEASE - June 12, 2013 - OSKRI Corp. of Lake Mills, WI is recalling “Coconut Bar Chocolates”, “Coconut Bar Chocolates Minis”, “Fig Chocolates Bars” and “Almond Chocolates Bars” since the chocolates contains milk. Those who have an allergic reaction or severe sensitivity to milk risk serious or existence-threatening allergic attack when they consume these items.
The remembered “Coconut Bar Chocolates”, “Coconut Bar Chocolates Minis”, “Fig Chocolates Bars” and “Almond Chocolates Bars” was distributed nationwide to stores.
The merchandise is available in single.9 ounce, flexible plastic wrapper, UPC 666016-300703 (Coconut Bar Chocolates), UPC 666016-400311 (Coconut Bars Chocolates Minis), UPC 666016-300307 (Fig Chocolates Bars) and UPC 666016-300420 (Almond Chocolates Bars) marked using the following stamp, that exist around the front from the wrapper:
P 1/1/13 through 6/6/13
EXP 7/7/14 through 12/12/14
LOT 001 through 154
There haven't been any complaints of allergy symptoms for this product.
The recall was initiated after it had been learned that the “Coconut Bar Chocolates”, “Coconut Bar Chocolates Minis”, “Fig Chocolates Bars” and “Almond Chocolates Bars” could have milk within the product. Subsequent analysis signifies the issue was the result of a temporary breakdown within the company's production process.
