I'd these in a friend's son's birthday celebration. I do not normally rave in regards to a cookie. And, it requires a unique dessert to obtain attention. These cookies were amazing. This review is perfect for the cookie only, as I haven't chose to make this particular icing. I've been by using this recipe for many years (from allrecipes). It's fantastic! I suggest chilling the dough overnight, in addition to during baking. I keep any unused portion chilled during moving and baking, constantly putting the scraps into the fridge. It keeps the cookies from losing shape. I favor to roll them about 1/4 inch thick, which creates a soft yet sturdy cookie that would be ideal for decorating. I have used Royal Icing for that icing most lately. Alternatively, dipping small cut-outs in melted chocolate is simply too easy!
