Low calorie chocolate chip cookie recipe with applesauce

Found this while looking for a proper treat in my sweet-tooth lovin' hubby. He must watch his sodium, fat and cholesterol so adapted the following: Used all wheat grains flour, cut the salt lower to some pinch, added 1-2 T. ground flax (blended along with butter and sugar), used 1/2 cup brown sugar plus 1 T. honey (no white-colored sugar), used cinnamon applesauce (no sugar added kind), and added 1/2 cup choc chips, 1/2 cup craisins, and some roasted pepitas (simply because they were already combined with the craisins!). These cookies are moist, flavorful, filling and hubby states he likes them much better than the actual factor! I suggest modifying sugars/honey for the way sweet you want yours. This is a brand new favorite within our house!

My hubby is at the shop now buying another round of staples to ensure that we are able to make our 4th batch of those great cookies! I've found which you can use all wheat flour and Splenda sugar products but still have an awesome and occasional-fat dessert. If you discover your cookie dough is simply too dry, double on the applesauce and drizzle a little bit of EVOO. They are really filling along with a great "in-between meals snack" whenever you most likely require an energy boost too!

Great recipe, loved it. I made some modifications which arrived on the scene near to this but tend to used a little bit more sugar. I needed to create Congo Bars but didn't remember I lacked the correct pan and so i fired the entire shabang right into a cake plate making a cake of sorts. Also used 1/2 wheat and added a little bit of wheat germ. So, I altered this a great deal however the foundation was great. Thanks, this can be a keeper, I'll go straight 'by the book' the next time :-)
