It was a popular recipe of my mother. She'd allow it to be for special occasions and holidays. It's scrumptious, so we loved it.
Ingredients
2 (3-ounce) boxes strawberry Jell-O 1 (10-ounce) package frozen bananas 1/2 pint whipping cream
Instructions
- Make Jell-O inside a bowl as directed around the box.
- Add bananas, that have been thawed enough to combine using the Jell-O, and permit to jell in refrigerator until almost firm.
- Whip whipping cream until stiff peaks form, fold into Jell-O, and go back to refrigerator until set.
- Variation: Substitute lime Jell-O and something 8-ounce can drained, crushed pineapple for that strawberry Jell-O and frozen bananas.
Tips From Your Test Kitchen: Whipping cream performs best whenever your bowl and beaters are cold. Garnish with fresh bananas along with a sprig of mint.
