Creamed spinach recipe with frozen spinach cream cheese

Ingredients

  • three or four bunches (2 1/2 pounds total) flat-leaf green spinach, trimmed and cleaned
  • two tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 medium onion, minced
  • 4 garlic clove cloves, minced
  • 4 ounces bar cream cheese, reduce pieces
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • pinch ground nutmeg
  • coarse salt and ground pepper

Directions

Bring a sizable pot of salted water to some boil. Add green spinach, and prepare just until wilted, about one minute. Drain inside a colander rinse with cold water until awesome. Squeeze green spinach to get rid of just as much liquid as you possibly can coarsely chop, and hang aside.

Inside a large saucepan, heat butter over medium. Add onion and garlic clove season with pepper and salt. Prepare, stirring from time to time, until onion softens, three to five minutes.
