Deep frying ice cream recipe
Ingredients
  • 1 quart vanilla frozen treats
  • 1 cup crushed frosted cornflakes
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes, or 1 cup chopped walnuts, or 1 cup cookie crumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • two tablespoons sugar
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Hot cocoa sauce, optional
  • Whipped cream, optional
Directions

By having an frozen treats scoop. form 4 large balls of frozen treats. Put on a waxed paper lined sheet and canopy with plastic wrap. Freeze not less than 2 hrs.

Inside a bowl, combine the cornflake crumbs with either the coconut. walnuts or cookie crumbs (or any combination). Spread the mix inside a shallow dish.

Dip the frozen treats balls within the crumb mixture and freeze for half an hour.

Inside a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar. Dip the coated frozen treats balls in to the eggs, then roll within the crumb mixture, coating completely. Freeze for one hour. (If required, or a thicker crust, roll again in eggs and crumbs before the balls are totally coated.)

Heat the oil inside a large pot or fryer to 400 levels F. Individually, lower the balls in to the oil and fry until golden brown, about thirty seconds to at least one minute. Remove in the oil and put inside a dessert bowl. Drizzle with chocolate sauce and whipped cream, as preferred. Repeat using the remaining frozen treats.
