Sleeman honey brown lager recipe

Sleeman honey brown lager recipe

My personal favorite beer is Honey Brown. The man at the shop provided the ingrediants to create a beer that tastes like this also it was absolutely horrible. Does anybody possess a great Honey Brown recipe, that matches nearest towards the original. Thanx ahead of time.

Are you currently talking about Sleeman's Honey Brown from Canada?

Ahhh Sleeman's. I had been happy when that grew to become on the new england of Canada. It's becoming the Mike Adams of Canada. Was once a little operation etc.

Hopefully he doesn't mean Jim Dundee's Honey Brown.

I am inclined to consider Sleeman's Honey Brown as like Killian's Irish Red. It's a noticable difference around the megalagers but nonetheless something of the disappointment. Honey Brown is really a lager, no ale. Colored it's more a dark amber than brown, which is thin in body and rather dry overall, except by having an oddly sweet finish. I'm unsure the way they get it done (perahps the recipe includes caramel syrup), and that i suspect there's hardly any honey.

Yes, it is kind of the Mike Adams of Canada, just a little more upscale and adventuresome for Molson's and Labatt's drinkers.

Used to do mean Jim Dundee's Honey Brown. I suppose it's not really a favorite around hear?

Talking about Killian's does others recall 'back when' it was once an excellent beer? From the consuming it after i was stationed in southern CA in early 80's when Coors didn't have quite the distribution they are doing now. From the it getting much more body, taste and kick of computer does now.

Since I've finally moved into all grain I'm trying to puzzle out a great recipe for 'old Killians'. Any suggestions?
