Cookie dough recipe for cookie cutters

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon. vanilla
2 teaspoon. baking powder
2 3/4 c. flour

Inside a large bowl, cream butter and sugar by having an electric mixer. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add baking powder and flour (1 cup at any given time). Dough can be really stiff. Might be essential to blend last cup of flour by hands. Don't chill this dough whatsoever. Divide dough into two balls. On the floured surface, roll each ball roughly 1/8 inch thick. Dip cookies onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake on the top rack for 6 minutes at 350 levels or until cookies are light brown on edges. Remove cookies from sheet immediately. Makes roughly 20 cookies.

FROSTING FOR PAINTING COOKIES:

1 lb. confectioners sugar (sifted)
1/4 teaspoon. cream of tartar
3 egg-whites
1/2 teaspoon. almond extract
Food coloring

Combine sugar, cream of tartar, egg-whites and extract in normal size bowl. Beat with electric mixer until smooth. Tint to preferred color. Cookies could be dipped if you want to pay for the whole surface or frosting could be colored up with acrylic paintbrush.
