Ingredients for Crispy Chilli Fish Recipe

Basa Fish Fillets 4

Dried Red Chillies drenched 8-10

Salt to taste

White-colored pepper powder to taste

Paprika powder 2 teaspoons

Fresh lemon juice two tablespoons

Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup

Cornflour 1/4 cup

Sodium bicarbonate a pinch

Oil 1/2 tablespoon + for deep-frying

Garlic clove chopped 1 tablespoon

Ginger root chopped 1 tablespoon

Soy sauce 1 tablespoon

Spring onion vegetables chopped 4-5 stalks

Sesame seeds (til) for garnishing

Method

Step One

Cut fish fillets into medium cubes and set right into a bowl. Add salt, pepper powder, paprika powder and something tablespoon fresh lemon juice and rub well around the fish cubes. Put aside to marinate for ten to 15 minutes.

Step Two

Mix refined flour, cornflour, salt, pepper powder and sodium bicarbonate in another bowl. Add sufficient water progressively and blend well to create a thick and smooth batter.

Step Three

Heat sufficient oil inside a kadai. Dip marinated fish cubes within the batter, slide into herbal and deep-fry till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step Four

Grind red chillies with little water to some smooth paste.
