Fish slice porridge recipe african

For those who have being after this blog, you'll find another similar Savory Oatmeal Porridge that we had shared the recipe a couple of in the past. I still keep in mind that recipe was trained in my experience by my ex-boss wife who always include it within their breakfast menu. And also, since you can purchase either Instant/Quick Prepare Oatmeal from leading supermarkets plus they both is effective on Sweet ( recipe ) and Savory ( recipe ) dishes, hence oatmeal grew to become certainly one of the best kitchen ingredients.

OATMEAL FISH PORRIDGE

This Oatmeal Fish Porridge can behave as a good idea for weekend brunch or even serve it for supper too. The thought of using fish slices happens because I needed to produce something such as Fish Congee however with more adding nourishment to ingredients like carrot, wolfberries, gingko nuts and egg. But then it's still as much as individual to combine using the things that you want.

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup of Quick Prepare Oatmeal (Quaker brand)
750ml Chicken Broth
150g Spanish mackerel Fish Slices
1 Egg, gently beaten
2 Stalks Spring Onion, reduce sections
Some Diced Carrot
Some Gingko Nuts
Some Wolfberries
Some Chopped Spring Onion

Method:-
1. Gently marinate fish slices with salt, pepper and sesame oil, cornflour and hang aside.

2. Preheat a saucepan with a few oil, gently fry the diced carrot and spring onion till aromatic, include soup broth and gingko nut, simmer over low heat for around ten minutes until carrot is soften.

3. Next include quick prepare oatmeal and then simmer till almost done ( when the mixture is simply too thick, add extra 150 - 200ml of warm waterOrsoups broth to dilute ), include fish slices and wolfberries.

4. When fish is cooked through, turn off heat, drizzle beaten egg and provide it a fast stir.

5. Ladle oatmeal into serving bowls, top with a few chopped spring onion and fried shallot, serve immediately.

I suppose for something new, this isn't an awful idea for grain substitute because it look and taste in some way in other words much like congee. And if you like more dilute version, include either more chicken broth or reduce the quantity of oatmeal. For me personally, I favor a sticky texture should i be searching for many comfort food during cold temperature.
