Cinnamon brown sugar french toast recipe

Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 8 thick slices white-colored bread (about 3/4 of the white-colored sandwich or Pullman loaf, reduce 3/4-inch-thick slices)
  • Recommended servings: Jam or hot pure walnut syrup
Directions

Preheat a stove to 200 levels F, and put a rack on the sheet pan .

Whisk the milk and eggs inside a glass cake or casserole dish until evenly combined.

Whisk the sugar and cinnamon in a tiny bowl.

Heat a sizable skillet over medium heat. Add about 1/2 a tablespoon of butter towards the skillet, swirling the pan to coat the top. Dip 2 slices of bread in to the egg mixture and immediately lay within the skillet. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on the top and prepare before the undersides are brown and crisp. about 4 minutes. Give a nut-sized little bit of butter towards the skillet, when needed, and switch the toast, prepare until golden around the bottom, about 3 minutes more.

Serve immediately or transfer towards the rack within the oven to help keep warm. Repeat using the remaining bread and batter. Serve with jam or walnut syrup.
