- 1 (16-ounce) jar applesauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- two tablespoons butter, chopped into small pieces
- Crunch Topping:
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Dash salt
- 1 tablespoon butter, at 70 degrees
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 levels F.
Line a 9-inch cake pan with 1 / 2 of dough. Combine sugar. flour, cinnamon. and salt inside a bowl. Stir in apples, applesauce, and fresh lemon juice. Spoon apple mixture into cake pan and us dot with butter. Cut remaining crust into strips arrange inside a lattice design over surface of cake.
