Chicken apple sausage frittata recipe
Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • two tablespoons plus 1 teaspoons extra-virgin essential olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 pound chicken-apple sausage, taken off casing
  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced
  • two tablespoons finely diced jalapeno
  • 1/2 cup red bell pepper
  • 8 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ocean salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 (9-inch) flour tortillas
  • 1/4 cup jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup Cheddar, shredded
  • 1/2 cup tomato plants, diced
  • 1/2 cup scallions diced
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 levels F.

Inside a saute pan over medium-high temperature, add two tablespoons oil and also the chicken sausage, onions, jalapenos, peppers and saute until vegetables have softened.

In medium bowl, mix eggs, milk, paprika and pepper and salt.

Add chicken sausage and vegetable mixture and eggs together. Heat a medium saute pan over medium heat and add 1 teaspoon essential olive oil, and pour in egg mixture. Prepare for several minutes on every side, mixture ought to be slightly firm and moist. In the meantime add tortillas to oven and toast for three to five minutes until golden brown, then remove.

Remove frittata from pan, place one tortilla below of pan and spread with 1/2 from the cheese, place cooked frittata on the top, and top frittata with second tortilla. Top tortilla with remaining cheese and put pan in oven for five minutes or until cheese melts.

Remove from oven and garnish with scallions and tomato plants
