They are absolutely divine! If you want Oatmeal cookies, you'll love these. DH does not mind for cooked raisins, and so i left them out, however i think in addition to he loved these, I'll provide a couple of raisins a try too the next time. I could not believe how quickly these went. In a few minutes following the first batch left the oven these were gone. They switched out soft and soft. I made use of Granny Cruz apples, my personal favorite for baking and also the cookies were not too sweet, nor the apples too tart. Amazing. Fluffy as well as on the lighter side. I loved these. I made one change though, I made use of 1 / 2 of the shortening and added one half a mug of unsweetened applesauce. Scrumptious and healthier too :) I did not put raisins or nuts inside it, which made the cookie lighter. I recommend using applesauce or apple butter!
10 Stars..I attempted this recipe to save lots of additional apples. Exactly what a wonderful surprise. They are GREAT! Exactly what a nice vary from chocolate nick cookies. I exchanged the flour with wholegrain flour which gave them an easy but hearty texture. These didn't last 24 hrs. The next time I'll increase the diced apples and walnuts. Thanks!
