Brown sugar apple butter recipe
Ingredients
  • 2 Golden Scrumptious apples
  • two to three tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • Ground cinnamon, for sprinkling
  • Creamy Custard Sauce, recipe follows
  • Creamy Custard Sauce:
  • 1/2 pint light vanilla frozen treats, melted (suggested: Ben and Jerry's)
  • 2 egg yolks
Directions

Preheat oven to 350 levels F.

Wash and dry apples. Cut the apples in two and take away the main but leave any stems intact. Place apples in baking dish. Divide butter among each core cavity. Top each apple half having a tablespoon of sugar and dash with cinnamon.

Bake apples before the flesh is tender and they are bubbly and excellent searching, about half an hour. Serve with Creamy Custard Sauce.

Creamy Custard Sauce:

Heat the melted frozen treats in a tiny saucepan over low heat until hot. Meanwhile, place the yolks inside a mixing bowl and whisk until smooth. While whisking, gradually drizzle about one or two tablespoons hot melted frozen treats in to the yolks until blended. While whisking constantly, gradually add all of those other hot liquid towards the yolk mixture. Pour the mix into the saucepan and go back to low heat.
