Gluten-free Reduced Carb Scotch Eggs
Gluten-free reduced carb Scotch Eggs are difficult steamed eggs coated in ground pork or poultry sausage, then folded inside a grain free breading and baked within the oven.
Recipe:
- 6 pre hard steamed eggs ( cooled, peeled, and dry)
- 1 lb ground poultry or pork sausage
- cup liquid egg-whites or 1 beaten egg
- 1 Tablespoons of gluten-free Worcestershire sauce ( could be overlooked)
- 2 teaspoon garlic clove powder
- 1 teaspoon chicken seasoning
- Tablespoons of Cajun seasoning *optional
- Tablespoons of Frank’s red pepper sauce (or omit in case your not spicy)
- Grain Free Breading:
- cup coconut flour
- cup Mozzarella dairy product- optional, can omit if diary free
- teaspoon salt
- teaspoon pepper
- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Put lean sausage inside a bowl add: Worcestershire sauce, garlic clove powder, chicken seasoning, Cajun seasoning, red pepper sauce.
- Mix it altogether.
- Then inside a separate bowl put egg-whites or beaten egg.
- In another bowl mix: coconut flour, Mozzarella dairy product, pepper and salt.
- Now separate your meat mixture into 6 patties.
- Put your cooled, peeled, and dry hard steamed egg on the meat mixture patty, and roll in hands around your egg until covered and ball formed.
- Dip and roll in egg wash mixture, Then roll in coconut flour Parmesan mixture till covered.
- Then devote a greased or parchment lined casserole baking dish.
- Repeat along with other eggs.
- Bake at 400 F for half an hour. Then placed on low broil for 2 to 3 minutes, just until browned.
- Serve with favorite dipping sauce, hot sauce or Mustard.
