Gluten free pizza dough recipe coconut flour

I’ve used coconut flour for a long time, however i never attempted it inside a pizza crust until very lately. I held off for such a long time due to the natural sweetness of coconut flour I simply didn’t think it might work perfectly inside a savory dish.

This altered a couple of days ago after i read a publish on Food Renegade which featured a recipe for small pizzas created using coconut flour.

I had been inspired! I made the decision to test that recipe that very night for supper as well as said to that particular effect.

Problem was, when dinner folded around, I only were built with a very couple of minutes cooking something up (can any one of you connect with this?).

The coconut flour pizza crust recipe I'd planned to follow along with known as for frying in the small pizza crusts inside a pan, and that i simply didn’t have time to babysit individuals little critters. To pay in my insufficient time, I created another way and added a lot of herbs towards the batter to mask natural sweetness from the coconut flour.

It labored! On top of that, this pizza is really filling in contrast to pizza created using wheat. I possibly could only eat one slice so we wound up with many different pizza leftovers for supper the following day!

Here’s the recipe and approach to preparation I created which has switched to be among the most popular meals recently. Thank you to Kristin and Cara for that inspiration with this recipe.

Coconut Flour Pizza Crust

Makes roughly two 8″ thin crust pizzas

4 top quality eggs, preferably pastured from the local farm

1/4 cup coconut flour (sources)

1/4 cup plain yogurt

1 teaspoon organic onion powder (sources)

1 teaspoon organic oregano (sources)

1 teaspoon organic tulsi (sources)

1/3 cup shredded mozzarella dairy product (sources)

2 cloves organic garlic clove, minced

Whip the eggs inside a large bowl using the yogurt and ocean salt. Add some coconut flour and whip until very smooth without any protuberances. This might have a couple of minutes to complete because it takes a while for that coconut fiber to soak up the liquid. Merge the onion powder, oregano, tulsi, garlic clove, and mozzarella dairy product.

Line a pizza pan with parchment paper. Lightly pour about 1/2 the batter to the paper lined pan. Make use of a spatula or any other kitchen utensil to spread the batter into an 8-9″ circle that's quite thin (the thinner the greater).

Bake at 400F for ten minutes. Remove pan from oven, add homemade pizza sauce. cheese along with other toppings as preferred. Place during the oven on broil for around 8 minutes more.

Continue doing this process using the remaining 1 / 2 of the coconut flour batter.
