We've always used this recipe too, and like Syrinx, I rarely stick exactly to some recipe, however this one works, and when it ain't broke, don't repair it! We, however, make one small omission - we do not add some sugar, but anything else we continue with the letter. You could then add hot chili flakes or hot sauce allow it an additional kick, however i don't recall us ever doing this.

Excellent recipe, but a little too sweet to my taste.

I acquired this recipe from your Weber barbecue book, and also have been which makes it for any couple of years with no modifications - unusual for me personally, when i rarely follow recipes towards the letter. This sauce is lovely (even though it smells rather acrid in the kitchen area when you are cooking it!). We get this to for many in our barbecues - which is, actually, the only method my hubby will eat celery! (I actually do chop the celery very finely to make certain he does not recognise the component before he's sampled it). Very highly suggested, and appears to be really well-liked by everybody who tries it :-) Best offered hot, we believe, although it's very good cold, too :-)
