Basting recipe for chicken on the grill
Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 1/two tablespoons lemon-plant chicken sauce mix (suggested: McCormick)
  • two tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1/2 lemon)
  • 3 1/2 pounds whole chicken, quartered
  • Garlic clove salt, to taste (suggested: Lawry's)
  • Lemon pepper, to taste (suggested: Lawry's)
Directions

Setup grill for direct cooking over medium heat. Oil grate when prepared to start cooking.

In a tiny pan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in sauce mix and fresh lemon juice. Prepare one minute. Remove from heat put aside.

Rinse chicken with cold water and pat dry. Season with garlic clove salt and lemon pepper, to taste.

Around The GRILL. Grill chicken on preheated, oiled grill for around six to eight minutes per side, or until done, basting every couple of minutes.

INDOOR: Preheat broiler. Prepare chicken and basting sauce as directed. Place chicken on foil lined baking sheet or broiler pan. Broil chicken for around fifteen minutes per side basting with butter sauce every a few minutes.
