Homemade rice bubble bars recipe

There’s no denying that I've got a massive sweet tooth! I’m a sucker for something that involves salted caramel or chocolate. And get me basically’d rather an apple or perhaps a Caramello Koala and that i might just give you credit as if you’ve lost the plot! Regrettably, my sweet tooth reaches total odds with the best set of jeans therefore i’m always looking for treats which will satisfy my sweet tooth but without all of the calories!

These ‘Healthier Coco-Pop Bars’ suit you perfectly perfectly! They taste as if you’re eating a very naughty treat, when in fact you’re gobbling lower on chia seeds, cacao powder along with other deliciously healthy things.

Should you’re following a healthier option to store-bought LCM bars and sugar-filled muesli bars, then they are perfect. Additionally they take under a few minutes to create and therefore are completely no-bake&.... love, love, love that!

Recipe type: Slices

  • ¾ cup honey (or 1 cup grain malt syrup)
  • ½ cup coconut oil
  • ¼ cup raw cacao powder
  • 4 cups grain bubbles (or any puffed grain)
  • 2 cups desiccated coconut
  • ¼ cup chia seeds
  1. Melt honey and coconut oil together within the microwave or higher low heat inside a saucepan.

  3. Pour within the melted liquid and mixed together very well.
  4. Put the mixture right into a lined 20cm square cake tin and press lower well (I love to make use of a round glass and roll it within the mixture to actually press it lower harder).
  5. Put the tin in to the fridge and then leave for just two-3 hrs or overnight.
  6. Remove from the fridge and reduce bars.
  7. Keep bars within an airtight container within the fridge.

These look wonderful Lucy. You're not alone, I’ve didn't have LCM bars before either and becoming an adult it had been homemade snacks for morning tea in school every single day. It had been always a goody when around the odd occasion we'd something ‘bought’ in school. This recipe certainly looks more healthy compared to twix slice that also uses grain bubbles I saw on pintrest today!

Haha yep we from time to time were permitted to purchase something in the ‘tuckshop’ on Fridays! Oooh that Twix slice sounds very good!!

Oh Lucy, these bars look crunchy and attractive! Because of the inclusion of chia seeds in to the recipe. It can make it a level healthier, fun snack!
