Easy homemade granola bars recipe with honey
Ingredients
  • 8 ounces old-fashioned folded oatmeal, roughly 2 cups
  • 1 1/2 ounces raw sunflower seeds, roughly 1/2 cup
  • 3 ounces sliced almonds, roughly 1 cup
  • 1 1/2 ounces wheat germ, roughly 1/2 cup
  • 6 ounces honey, roughly 1/2 cup
  • 1 3/4 ounces brownish sugar, roughly 1/4 cup packed
  • 1 -ounce unsalted butter, plus extra for pan
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 6 1/2 ounces chopped dried fruit, any mixture of apricots, cherries or particularly
Directions

Butter a 9 by 9-inch glass baking dish and hang aside. Preheat the oven to 350 levels F.

Spread the oatmeal, sunflower seeds, almonds, and wheat germ onto one half-sheet pan. Devote the oven and toast for fifteen minutes, stirring from time to time.

Meanwhile, combine the honey, brown sugar, butter, extract and salt inside a medium saucepan and put over medium heat. Prepare before the brown sugar has completely dissolved.

When the oat mixture is completed, take it out of the oven and lower heat to 300 levels F. Immediately add some oat mixture towards the liquid mixture, add some dried fruit, and stir to mix. Turn mixture out in to the prepared baking dish and press lower, evenly disbursing the mix within the dish and put within the oven to bake for twenty five minutes. Remove in the oven and permit to awesome completely. Reduce squares and store within an airtight container for approximately per week.
