How to cook bihon with sardines recipe

  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 2 cloves garlic clove, peeled and minced
  • 1 small onion, peeled and sliced thinly
  • 2 medium Roma tomato plants, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 3 cans (5.5 ounces each) tomato-based Sardines
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 ounces miswa noodles
  • pepper and salt to taste
  1. Inside a pot, heat oil. Add onions and garlic clove and saute until limp. Add tomato plants and then prepare until slightly softened. Add fish sauce and prepare, stirring from time to time, for around one to two minutes.
  2. Add sardines. Pour in water and produce to some boil. Add miswa and prepare, stirring from time to time, for around two to four minutes or until noodles are simply softened. Season with pepper and salt.

This soup is better enjoyed hot in the stove. If reheating, increase the water and adjust pepper and salt as preferred

I love it. It’s easy, it’s quick, doesn’t get many dishes dirty and also the ingredients are simple to keep as kitchen staples. It tastes just a little bland in my experience by itself and so i add a little bit of cayenne for any kick. It’s not this type of frugal meal for me personally (sardines are 2.50$ a tin) and that i couldn’t feed 6 hungry adults using the amount this will make, however it’s certainly be a go-to recipe because of its simplicity.

Wow! $2.50 for any tin of sardines! The Ligo brand I personally use is all about .80 cents.

I'm glad you loved the recipe. If you're able to find Ligo sardines in tomato sauce, try the spicy kind (is available in red can) to provide that little kick of spice you would like. Happy holidays!
