  • Ingredients for grinding:
  • 1½ teaspoon Channa Dal
  • 6 teaspoon Coconut (dry or fresh)
  • 2 teaspoon Methi Seeds
  • 3 teaspoon Sesame Seeds (White-colored Yellu)
  • 1½ teaspoon Urad Dal
  • 6 Red Chilies
Ingredients for Gojju:
  • 1/2 Cucumber (chopped)
  • 6 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • 1 /2 teaspoon Turmeric (Haldi)
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard Seeds
  • Tamarind (paste)
  • Asafoetida (Hing)
  • 6 Curry Leaves
  • Steps to make Cucumber Gojju:

    • Roast channa dal, coconut, methi seeds, sesame seeds, urad dal and red chilies in oil.
    • Then go ahead and take roasted ingredients and grind it till it might be a thick paste.
    • Keep cucumber in microwave making it soft.
    • Once the cucumber is hot add mustard seeds, asafoetida, curry leaves and haldi.
    • Add tamarind paste into it and boil it.
    • Finally add ground mixture and boil for around ten minutes

    Serve with pongal or hot grain
