Ingredients for Grain Kheer

  • Basmati Grain - 70 gm (1/2 cup)
  • Full cream milk – 1 liter
  • Pure Ghee - 1 table spoon
  • Cashew Nuts - 50 gm (sliced)
  • Dry Raisins - 25 gm (about one table spoon)
  • Makhane (Lotus fruit) - 25 gm (cut)
  • Sugar - 100 gm (about 1 normal size bowl)
  • Cardamom - 6 (peeled and grinded)

How you can prepare Grain Kheer

We prepare kheer by either frying the grain with ghee or by soaking them in water. Kheer made by either from the processes is tasty.

Place the milk inside a utensil and it around the burner for boiling.

Within the first method, wash the grain with water. Pour the oil within the pan and supply low heat towards the pan for five to seven minutes. Many people prepare kheer by frying the grain with Ghee.

Within the second method, you may also prepare kheer by soaking the grain in water for around 30 minutes.
