Sushi rice recipe good eats

Sushi rice recipe good eats
  • 2 cups sushi or short grain grain
  • 2 cups water, plus extra for rinsing grain
  • two tablespoons grain vinegar
  • two tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
Directions

Put the grain right into a mixing bowl and canopy with awesome water. Swirl the grain within the water, pour off and repeat two to three occasions or before the water is obvious.

Put the grain and a pair of glasses of water right into a medium saucepan and put over high temperature. Provide a boil, uncovered. Once it starts to boil, lessen the heat towards the cheapest setting and canopy. Prepare for fifteen minutes. Remove in the heat and let stand, covered, for ten minutes.

Combine the grain vinegar, salt and sugar in a tiny bowl as well as heat within the microwave on high for 30-45 seconds. Transfer the grain right into a large wooden or glass mixing bowl and add some vinegar mixture. Fold completely to mix and coat each grain of grain using the mixture. Let it awesome to 70 degrees before using to create sushi or sashimi .
