Sausage roll recipe pictures for kids

I made these sausage rolls for the baby’s first birthday celebration. I needed to achieve the food loosely matching the the theme from the party. We'd Homemade Star Chips. that we published about a week ago and also the kids wanted me to help make the sausage rolls seem like rockets. Which was just a little tricky, and so i wound up getting points in the finish of every roll, that the kids felt just passed!

I discovered a recipe in and old D Hay Kid Issue and modified it to match me.

  • 800 grams sausage mince
  • 6 sheets puff pastry
  • 8 spring onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsps flat-leaf parsley chopped
  • 4 tablespoons bbq sauce
  • ocean salt and cracked pepper
  • 2/3 cup whole egg mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  1. Preheat oven to 200 levels Celsius.
  2. Separate and defrost pastry on the flat working surface.
  3. Inside a large bowl, mix mince, onions, parsley, bbq sauce, seasoning with pepper and salt.
  4. Once defrosted I cut the pastry sheets into 3 horizontally, on the other hand vertically, to ensure that I'd nine squares.
  5. Convey a heaped teaspoon from the mixture diagonally to the square, then pull-up two edges round the mixture and roll the pastry together. The very first batch I made, I didn’t roll them tight enough plus they split open. So that they remained together better, I folded the pastry together tightly, then designed a prick close to the seam.
  6. Put on a lined tray departing room for distributing. Bake on 200 levels for ten minutes, then turn oven lower slightly to 180 and bake for any further ten minutes.
  7. Let it awesome slightly before serving to youthful children because the insides can be quite hot.
  8. In a tiny bowl combine the mayonnaise and tomato sauce, then serve using the party sausage rolls. I wasn’t sure relating to this combo after i see clearly, however it was Scrumptious!
  9. This mix made 45 sausage rolls, but the time had come consuming getting to wrap each roll individually. After I make sure they are the next time which is to not fit the theme from the party, I'd certainly do them within the conventional sausage roll manner!
