Kulcha is generally produced in tandoor, however, you can bake them within the oven, pan or microwave it within the convection mode. Ingredients for Kulcha

  • Maida - 400 gms. (3 cup)
  • Sodium bicarbonate - 1/3 desert spoon.
  • Baking powder - 1/2 desert spoon.
  • Sugar - 1 desert spoon.
  • Oil - 1 table spoon.
  • Curd - 2 table spoon.
  • Salt - 3/4 desert spoon (based on the taste)
  • Kasoori Methi - 1 table spoon.

Method - Steps to make Kulcha

Sieve the maida inside a bowl and add sodium bicarbonate and baking powder in it. Mix the components well.

Divide the maida in 2 portions creating a space in the center. Now put curd, salt, sugar and oil in the center and blend them well using the flour. Now knead it with luke tepid to warm water to create a smooth dough. Switch, turn and punch the dough for five minutes to really make it smooth and elastic. Apply oil around the dough with on the job all of the corners and canopy it having a clean towel. Keep your bowl in a warm spot for 2-3 hrs.

Withing 2 hrs the dough will rise and double up. Remove the towel in the bowl and punch the dough once more with hands to repair it. The dough to create kulcha is prepared.

Divide the dough into 8 equal parts. Should you making the kulcha on the pan (tawa), then grease it with little oil and around the flame in order that it heats well. Meanwhile, take one area of the dough and roll it right into a flat disc of 5-7 inches. You may also expand the kulcha by pressing it with greased hands.
