Clean squid otherwise clean, reduce 3 cm rings. Quarter rings lengthwise. Finish with quarter circle curls about 3 cm lengthy. Alternatively, you are able to cut squid tube and tentacles for your preference. You may also part cut gemstone formed patterns around the outer area of the squid pieces.
Whisk the flour, corn flour, crushed pepper, ocean salt with only enough cold water to create a batter that will just permit the squid pieces to become drizzled with and retain a skinny layer of coating when taken off the batter.
Heat oil inside a saucepan that will allow small batches from the battered squid pieces to become fried. Heat oil over medium high flame.
When oil begins to sizzle, dip squid pieces into batter one at a time, wipe off excess batter against side of bowl. Lightly lower battered bits of the squid in to the oil. Let it prepare for around 2 minutes or until light golden brown. Fry battered squid pieces in small batches and don't overcrowd the fry pan.
Remove fried bits of battered squid pieces having a slotted spoon and permit to empty on kitchen paper put on a stove rack.
Serve these scrumptious morsels of pepper and salt squid drizzled with freshly made red chilli or garlic clove sauce.
