I believe, that a great pet! I simply tamed one just for fun, however i enjoy it. Lightningbreath is instant! My new lvl 66 Scalewing got 120.1 DPS and 8608 Armor. Lightningbreath is 101-116 Nature DMG.

This mob's Lightning Strike attack isn't interruptable with Kick, and isn't resistable with Cloak of Shadows enabled. Possibly bugged, waiting on GM response.

2 things:
1) despite the fact that im a shammy i recognize how awsome this could b like a pet. very good damage and spells are united nations-interuptable.
2) on the more pissy-offy note, IVE BEEN KILLING THESE To Have An HOUR AND CANT EVEN Acquire One SERPENT FLESH In My COOKING QUEST. anyways. yeah, its pissin me off

The main reason this in uncancellable happens because it's for any quest.

This is actually the best mob to farm Serpent Flesh for that quest Mok'Nathal Treats: world wide web.wowhead.com/?quest=10860. They may be found around 69, 69.
These mobs possess a Lightning Strike attack which isn't interruptible. This is because within the name -- it's a strike meaning it's a melee attack. Though it may be clearly a lightning spell, the sport counts it as being an actual attack (like Warriors' Slam ability) and it is therefore not interruptible.
Also, be cautious for that elite Gronn named Maggoc who patrols the region. He glitched after i was farming for that Serpent Flesh and that i was 2-hit by a hidden elite giant.

The lightining strike isn't interruptable, however are stunnable, so a rogue can certainly do that fight without ever getting hit through the lightning if you are careful.

There is a buggy factor about some hunter pets.
Out on the planet there's a couple of tamable mobs (mostly wind serpents and a few dragon hawks) who Prior To Being TAMED have mana bars. God and Blizz Devs alone know why. I believe i was never supposed so that you can tame them.
These mobs have caster hit points and armor class, and usually go lower just like a sack of wet kittens when hit by anybody with any company hunting them. When fighting these mobs, they will use mana (which may be drained by player classes who are able to) to fuel their attacks.
AFTER TAMING THESE MOBS. the mana bar disappears. Poof. All of a sudden their abilities become pet abilities and therefore are fueled by pet focus rather of mana of any sort.
Apparently. the interrupability of those mobs' spells works just like a pet ability (not really a spell whether or not the damage is arcane or nature based) whether they are presently tamed. That strikes me as buggy but there it's. To ensure that results correctly as pets, they work wrongly within the wild. It's silly.
Let's focus on the hunters:
If you notice a animal having a mana bar, don't bother to tame it.
You'll be taming a gimped pet.
Despite being tamed, it'll have inferior caster hitpoints and armor compared holiday to a non-caster pet (even of their own species) that's the same level. This gimpness is additionally towards the slight variation across standardized pets (some being +dps, others +armor, etc).
So. dragon hawk without caster bar: Good
dragon hawk with caster bar: Bad
You are able to Google WoW petopia and browse the content about caster pets if you want more in depth explanation.
