Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds hamburger
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 egg, gently beaten
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons vinegar
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- two tablespoons Dijon mustard
- two tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water, to thin sauce if required
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 levels F.
Mix together the beef, bread crumbs. onion, egg, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup from the tomato sauce. Form this mix right into a loaf and put it inside a shallow pan. Stir together the rest of the tomato sauce. vinegar, sugar, mustard, Worcestershire and also the water (if too thick). Pour this sauce within the meatloaf. Bake for one hour, basting every fifteen minutes using the pan juices.
Cook's Note: Try becoming a sandwich with mayonnaise.
